ABOUT
Board-certified family medicine physician with focused expertise in musculoskeletal
medicine and clinical research.
Dr. Gonzalez is a bilingual family medicine physician whose work spans musculoskeletal care, point-of-care ultrasound, medical education, and clinical research. Based in the Chicagoland area, he serves patients and professional communities across Chicago and the western and northwestern suburbs. He completed residency at Rush University Medical Center / Esperanza Health Centers and will begin fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at McNeal-Loyola University Medical Center, where he will continue building a practice centered on movement, performance, and evidence-based musculoskeletal care.

Current work includes a PROSPERO-registered systematic review and meta-analysis on home- and office-based sarcopenia screening in adults ages 40–60, along with disparity-focused abdominal aortic aneurysm screening research recognized with a Family and Preventive Medicine Research Poster Award for scientific and methodological rigor.

Dr. Gonzalez recently served as the 2025 President of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine Resident Council and contributes to resident education through workshops, conference teaching, and curriculum development in family medicine and sports medicine. Recent teaching includes Decoding Back Pain for Primary Care, Machine Learning in Healthcare: A Primer for Clinicians, and Applying to Sports Medicine Fellowship.
